Photography
Lifestyle photography created for Capri Communities featuring residents at Summit Woods in Waukesha, WI. I art-directed and photographed a staged shoot used across banners, the website, digital ads, and the Enjoy Life Symposium. These images also became part of Capri’s internal resident photo library to support authentic, people-first storytelling.
Photography has been a core part of my creative practice across every role I’ve held. Whether capturing people, places, or moments, I approach photography as a storytelling tool that strengthens brand authenticity, supports design systems, and brings marketing and editorial narratives to life.
Across corporate, editorial, and lifestyle environments, I’ve used photography not only to create compelling visuals, but also to set creative direction, guide teams, and build scalable image systems that feel human and intentional.
Role & Approach
In each role, I’ve applied professional photography skills to support both creative and business goals. My work spans event coverage, lifestyle storytelling, portraiture, product photography, and art-directed shoots, always with an emphasis on consistency, emotion, and brand alignment.
My approach includes:
Planning and shooting with end-use in mind (print, digital, social, environmental).
Working with other photographers by art directing shoots to align with established visual systems.
Advanced photo retouching and compositing when required.
Building image libraries that scale across teams and platforms.
Photography in Practice
Sendik’s Food Markets
While supporting marketing and design initiatives, I photographed store openings, in-store events, staff headshots, staged lifestyle scenes, and product imagery. This work helped create a consistent, localized visual presence that supported both brand storytelling and day-to-day marketing needs.Nei-Turner Media Group
Within a high-volume editorial environment, I photographed lifestyle and outdoor recreation content for regional publications. As an Art Director, I joined staged shoots to ensure photography aligned with editorial vision and layout needs. I also handled advanced photo retouching and compositing, particularly for wedding publications, where image quality and polish were critical.Capri Communities
At Capri, photography became a core brand driver. Since 2021, I’ve both captured resident life, corporate initiatives, and community events and guided the team to elevate the visual standard. Together, we built a resident-first photography library that replaced overused stock imagery, creating authentic visuals that drive engagement and provide a warmer first impression for prospective residents and families.I led the investment in professional equipment, enabling consistent, high-quality in-house photography, and developed a system for staff and leadership headshots, helping residents and families recognize team members before tours and move-ins.
To capture authentic resident moments when our team isn’t on-site, I established regular training with each community team, teaching them photography techniques that strengthen social content and reflect daily life at our campuses.
Under my leadership, designers expanded their photography skills, with two developing professional-level capabilities. One now serves as the primary photographer, allowing the team to scale content production, increase posting consistency, and maintain brand quality while reducing reliance on external vendors.
Personal Practice
In 2023, I launched Krop Kreative, my lifestyle photography business, though I’ve been working professionally with photography since 2014. My personal work focuses on couples, families, seniors, and motherhood, blending natural connection with intentional composition.
Using in-camera techniques such as fractals and multiple exposure settings, I create imagery that feels layered, expressive, and personal—capturing stories that feel honest rather than posed. This personal practice continues to inform my professional work, sharpening my eye for emotion, movement, and narrative.
Impact & Philosophy
Photography has allowed me to bridge creativity and strategy—supporting brands not just visually, but emotionally. Whether leading teams, building image systems, or capturing moments that matter, my work prioritizes authenticity, clarity, and connection.

This body of work showcases photography I created for Capri Communities, focusing on residents enjoying life and building a branded stock photography library. I captured authentic moments that could be used across websites, social media, digital and print campaigns, and large-scale event materials, ensuring our brand remained consistent with our mission, vision, values, and enjoy life tagline. I also photographed staff and leadership for leadership pages, helping support internal and external brand messaging, community engagement, and future development efforts.
Nei-Turner Media Group Photography
These images highlight photography I captured for lifestyle and travel publications at Nei-Turner Media Group, including outdoor landscapes, nature preserves, and local destinations. I also edited and retouched wedding photography captured by Ashley Galminas, preparing it for covers and feature spreads. Each image was crafted to complement the publication’s visual identity and storytelling, working closely with editorial directors to ensure a polished, engaging final product.
Sendik’s Photography
During my time at Sendik’s, I produced a mix of event, staged, and product photography to support marketing across print, digital, and social media. Utilizing an in-house kitchen, styled spaces, and a small studio, I created imagery for websites, social media, press, weekly circulars, advertising, and billboards. I also photographed store openings and community-focused events tied to philanthropic initiatives. These images helped tell the story of Sendik’s growth, supported press coverage, and reinforced the brand across multiple marketing channels.
Krop Kreative Photography
This collection highlights work from my lifestyle photography business, Krop Kreative, including couples, families, seniors, motherhood sessions, and special events. My work has been featured in The Nashville Guide, Hutton Hotel, Nashville City, MKE Vizion, MKE Portraits, and exhibited at the Ruby Commons Art Gallery, showcasing both artistic vision and technical skill.
Photography captured while working at Nei-Turner Media Group, featuring a hiker exploring the newly opened Bromley Woods nature preserve. As one of the first official visitors, I photographed the park for a feature spread in At The Lake magazine, with images also used across digital platforms and social media.
Event photography captured during my time at Sendik’s Food Markets at the grand opening of the Waukesha Meadowbrook store. I photographed candid moments with the Brewers Racing Sausages, Sendik’s mascot Baggie, and guests enjoying the celebration. The images supported social media, website content, and press coverage during a period of growth.
